We suggest the users of ATM InfoNet Technologies Inc. to print a copy of this installation guide and to complete it in order to be able to re-install email on your computer after a format or any trouble.

Outlook Express Configurations V5:

  • With MS Outlook Express, in the Tools menu select Accounts...
    • Select: Mail, Click on Add and select Mail...
    • Display name: Your name
    • Click on Next
    • E-mail address: youraddress@infonet.ca
    • Click on Next
    • My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
      Incoming Mail (POP3): pop3.infonet.ca
      Outgoing Mail (SMTP): smtp.infonet.ca
    • Click on Next
    • Select: "Log on using"
      Pop account name: youraddress@infonet.ca
      Password: yourpassword (lowercase)
      Note: Do not check 'Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)'
    • Click on Next
    • Internet mail account name: pop3.infonet.ca
    • Click on Next
    • Select "Connect using my phone line"
    • Click on Next
    • Select "Use a existing dial-up connection"
    • Select "InfoNet"
    • Click on Next
    • Click on Finish.

Outlook Express Configurations V6 (2000/XP):

  • With MS Outlook Express, in the Tools menu select Accounts...
    • Select: Mail, Click on Add and select Mail...
    • Display name: Your name
    • Click on Next
    • E-mail address: youraddress@infonet.ca
    • Click on Next

    • Click on Next
    • Pop account name: youraddress@infonet.ca
      Password: yourpassword (lowercase)

    • Click on Next
    • Click on Finish

Internet Mail / Netscape3.x / Netscape4.x:

If first time setting up, the Wizard will appear to help you configure:

Internet Mail (Wizard)

  1. Click on Start, click on Programs, click on Internet Mail (if Browse for folder appears, press Cancel).
  2. Internet Mail configuration screen appears, then proceed with the following steps.
    • Click on Next
    • Name: your name
    • E-mail: youraddress@infonet.ca
    • Click on Next
    • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: smtp.infonet.ca
    • Incoming mail (POP3) server: pop3.infonet.ca
    • Click on Next
    • Email account: youraddress@infonet.ca
    • Password: yourpassword (lowercase)
    • Click on Next
    • Select: "I use a modem to access my mail"
    • Select: InfoNet
    • Click on Next
    • Click on Finish
    • Close Internet Mail
  • With MS Internet Mail, in the Mail menu select options.
    1. Click on Server Tab:
      • Name: your full name
      • Email address: youraddress@infonet.ca
      • Outgoing Mail (SMTP): smtp.infonet.ca
      • Incoming Mail (POP3): pop3.infonet.ca
      • Account Name: youraddress@infonet.ca
      • Password: yourpassword
    2. Click on OK
    3. Close MS Internet Mail
  • With Netscape 3.0, in the Options menu select Mail and News Preferences.
    1. Click on the Server Tab:
      • Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.infonet.ca
      • Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop3.infonet.ca
      • POP3 User Name: youraddress@infonet.ca
    2. Click on the Identity Tab:
      • Your Name: your full name
      • Your Email: youraddress@infonet.ca
    3. Click on OK
    4. Close Netscape 3.0
  • With Netscape 4.0, in the Edit menu select Preferences.
    1. Double-Click on the category Mail & Groups, select Identity:
      • Your Name: your full name
      • Email Address: youraddress@infonet.ca
    2. Select Mail Server:
      • Mail server user name: youraddress@infonet.ca
      • Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server: smtp.infonet.ca
      • Incoming Mail server: pop3.infonet.ca
    3. Click on OK
    4. Close Netscape 4.0
